Kindergarten number worksheets 1 -100
Number recognition and fluency are important parts of your preschooler’s early learning development. Preschool and Kindergarten age students are capable of recognizing many numbers and are becoming aware of how to compare large and small objects.
Children will develop their own working theories by using numbers in everyday contexts. They will learn to communicate these to others and over time remember mathematical concepts.
Pre number concept activities focus on classification such as the difference in shapes, picking out between small and big, large and heavy, short and long, wide and narrow, thick and thin, tall or short, etc. This way, children learn to observe the attributes of quality, then quantity, and finally, numbers.
Children will gain greater understanding of the order of numbers 1–10 and the numeral that represents each one. They will: count with understanding and recognize “how many” are in sets of objects.
